Star Shines in Heerenveen

FSA’s A-team competitors skated the third and final KNSB A-Cup qualifying competition this past weekend in Heerenveen with Star Hoen taking home gold in the Basic Novice category.

Star has improved her placement and score at each successive competition this season and is one of four FSA skaters to qualify for the Challenge Cup competition this coming February in Tilburg. Skaters earning the top twelve scores across the three competitions qualified.

In Advanced Novice, Elsbeth Marck finished ninth in Heerenveen, while Ksenia Usenko was 11^th. Both girls secured places in the Challenge Cup earlier in the season. Elsbeth notched a Personal Best (PB) in the free program.

Tasia Usenko was sixth in Basic Novice and will also be going to the Challenge Cup. Yuna Parcily was 14^th and Erika Surkova was 16th.
