FSA Skaters in Action in Eindhoven

Two FSA skaters made the podium at the City of Light Trophy / KNSB-Cup B3 + B4 competition at IJssportcentrum in Eindhoven, December 2-3. Skating in the Advanced Novice B category, Esmee Dekker finished first and Annika Egas was third. Skating in the same group, Nika Esmaeilzadeh was sixth and Dagna Casias was tenth. FSA finished second out of seven clubs competing at the Hanzebokaal challenge competition for Starters, Pupillen and Aspiranten at De Scheg ice rink in Deventer, December 2nd. Four of our skaters made the podium. In Aspiranten B, Madeline Stumpf and Ashley Cheung finished first and second. FSA Skaters Advance in Alkmaar

At the KNSB-2A qualifying competition in Alkmaar, November 25-26, three FSA skaters earned places at the KNSB Challenge Cup, to be held in February 2024. Ksenia and Elsbeth qualified in the Advanced Novice category with Technical Elements Scores (TES) of +13 points in the short program. They finished sixth and tenth, respectively, in a field of 14. The 2023-24 competitive season is ramping up. FSA’s team of scorekaarten competitors took to the ice in Hoorn, November 19, for the 2023 WKC Interclub Trophy and three of our skaters reached the podium. Angelina Kortes was second in the Pupillen 2 division, while Madeline Stumpf finished first and Ashley Cheung was third in the ladies Aspiranten 2B category. FSA’s advanced competitors sampled international competition last weekend when they travelled to Deurne, Belgium for the International Skating Union (ISU) sanctioned Rivierencup 2023. FSA’s Scorekaarten competitors were in action again this weekend. A team of six skaters travelled to Groningen for the Peerd van Ome Loeks competition, Saturday, November 4. Pupillen 1 division had three FSA skaters. Stephaniia Kolodil made the podium, finishing third with a score of 11,80. Spooky Weekend on Ice!

We are excited to celebrate Halloween on Saturday and Sunday, October 28th and 29th. All children who skate on these days are invited to come dressed up for Halloween in their favourite spooky costumes. Dressing in costume is not a requirement, but if you or your child decide to wear a costume it’s important to make sure that you can still skate safely.
