Confidential contact persons within FSA
For FSA, it is paramount that every member must be able to develop safely and securely within our organization. We are committed to an environment in which respect, inclusivity and sportsmanship are central. This means that we are alert to inappropriate behavior and actively work to prevent it.
If you do encounter undesirable behavior, such as bullying, discrimination or (sexual) intimidation, we take this very seriously. At FSA we have clear rules of conduct that apply to all members, volunteers and trainers. We encourage you to talk to the person causing the behavior. If for some reason this does not work, you can always contact one of our board members. If you prefer to speak to someone who is distant from the organization, confidential contact persons have been appointed to support you.
The confidential contact persons offer a listening ear and advice to anyone who has had to deal with inappropriate behavior. They work on the basis of complete confidentiality and will never share the report with anyone, unless this is explicitly requested by the person making the report. It is good to mention: the confidential contact persons are not active within the association themselves.
About the confidential contact persons
Jelle Ages has been a confidential counselor for a large youth organization for the past four years. During his position there, he assisted people who have experienced various forms of inappropriate behavior and, where possible, guided them to appropriate solutions.
