Team Scorekaarten at Marikenbokaal

FSA’s scorekaarten team went to the Triavium ice rink in Nijmegen on Saturday, March 2, for the Marikenbokaal 2024 and came home with gold. Zulhaj Rizki was first in the Aspiranten 1B division, while in Aspiranten 2B, Ashley Cheung and Anastasia Perventseva finished fifth and sixth, respectively. Bronze for Star at Dutch Nationals

Star Hoen won bronze in the Basic Novice Girls category at the Dutch National Championships, held concurrently with the Challenge Cup international competition in Tilburg, February 22-25. Star received the third highest score amongst Dutch entrants despite missing an element. A-Team Sets its Sights on Tilburg

Five skaters from FSA’s A Team head to the IJssportcentrum in Tilburg, February 22-25, for the International Challenge Cup. The culmination of the 2023-2024 competitive season, the Challenge Cup doubles as the Dutch National Championships. Final B Qualifier in Alkmaar

The third and final qualifier for the B-Series KNSB took place at ice rink De Meent in Alkmaar, February 11-12, with several FSA skaters earning places in next month’s final. In the Advanced Novice Women category, competition for the podium was tight, with 2.04 points separating the top five skaters and less than a quarter of a point between second and fourth. Members of FSA’s A Team skated in the Ice Talent Trophy at the Sport Vlaanderen in Hasselt team, February 1-3. In the Basic Novice Girls Category, Taisia Usenko finished sixth in Group 2; Amelie Taube was 10th in Group 3, and Yuna Parcily placed seventh in Group 4.  In Advanced Novice Girls, Ksenia Usenko and Elsbeth Marck both skated in Group 2. Three Cheers in Zoetermeer for FSA

FSA took home three podium finishes from the De IJsvogelbokaal Competition in Zoetermeer, February 3. Nelida Lievesley topped the field in Pupillen 1C. Zulhaj Rizki won gold in Aspiranten 1B and Scarlett Amor was second in Starters 2B. 2024 Competitive Season Kicks off in Riga

The 51st Volvo Open Cup, held in Riga, Latvia, January 19-21, featured over 300 participants from 29 countries, among them ten skaters from FSA. Team FSA battled the twin headwinds of a shortened preparation period, due to the Christmas break, and a pernicious flu bug, and came away with great memories and valuable international experience. FSA brought home gold from the Martinibokaal Saturday, January 6th at IJssportcentrum Kardingen in Groningen. Esmee Dekker took first place in Advanced Novice B Ladies. Annika Egas was 10th. In Basic Novice B, Giulia Dai Pra Ramos was eighth, Laura Britals was 13th and Eline Swildens was 17th. Saturday’s competition was the second qualifier for KNSB-Cup B Final in April. A Holiday Cheer for FSA at the Frieslandbokaal

Members of FSA’s Scorekaarten team travelled to Elfstedenhal on December 28 for the Frieslandbokaal and took home a podium place. Rebecca Bernard Moss was second in Starters 1 while twin sister Emilie Bernard Moss was fourth in the same group. Tessel Ermers was ninth in Aspiranten 1A. Kiki Ermers was sixth in Aspiranten 2A. Star Shines in Heerenveen

FSA’s A-team competitors skated the third and final KNSB A-Cup qualifying competition this past weekend in Heerenveen with Star Hoen taking home gold in the Basic Novice category. Star has improved her placement and score at each successive competition this season and is one of four FSA skaters to qualify for the Challenge Cup competition this coming February in Tilburg.
