A-Team Sets its Sights on Tilburg

Five skaters from FSA’s A Team head to the IJssportcentrum in Tilburg, February 22-25, for the International Challenge Cup.

The culmination of the 2023-2024 competitive season, the Challenge Cup doubles as the Dutch National Championships. It draws internationally-ranked skaters from around the world, including two-time World Champion Kaori Sakamoto of Japan and 2024 European Women bronze medallist Nina Pinzaronne of Belgium.

FSA skaters’ events take place on Thursday and Friday. Elsbeth Marck and Ksenia Usenko will skate in the Advanced Novice Girls category, while Star Hoen, Taisia Usenko and Yuna Parcily will compete in the Basic Novice Girls category. Each skater earned her place at Tilburg based on her performance in three qualifying competitions held earlier this season.

Admission is free to IJssportcentrum in Tilburg for the Challenge Cup and National Figure Skating Championship. The livestream is €7.50 (single day); €14,00 (two days); or €25.00 (all four days). https://www.schaatsen.nl/kalender/2024/2/challenge-cup-nk-kunstrijden/
