Members of FSA’s Scorekaarten team travelled to Elfstedenhal on December 28 for the Frieslandbokaal and took home a podium place.
Rebecca Bernard Moss was second in Starters 1 while twin sister Emilie Bernard Moss was fourth in the same group.
Tessel Ermers was ninth in Aspiranten 1A. Kiki Ermers was sixth in Aspiranten 2A.
The Frieslandbokaal drew scorekaarten skaters from Breda, Tilburg, Utrecht, Amsterdam, and Leewarden. It was held at the Ijsbsbaan de Elfstedenhal.

FSA’s A-team competitors skated the third and final KNSB A-Cup qualifying competition this past weekend in Heerenveen with Star Hoen taking home gold in the Basic Novice category.
Star has improved her placement and score at each successive competition this season and is one of four FSA skaters to qualify for the Challenge Cup competition this coming February in Tilburg. Skaters earning the top twelve scores across the three competitions qualified.

FSA scored three podium places at the Waagbokaal scorekaarten competition in Alkmaar, Saturday, December 9. Madeline Strumpf won gold in Aspiranten 2B and Ashley Cheung won bronze in the same category. Amal Mouslih took home the silver medal in the Aspiranten 1A group for girls aged 13-17.
Skating in her first competition, Phoebe Kaing finished 11th in the Aspiranten 1A group for girls aged 11-12.

Our competitors entertained the assembled audience, skating three group numbers set to popular Christmas tunes.

Two FSA skaters made the podium at the City of Light Trophy / KNSB-Cup B3 + B4 competition at IJssportcentrum in Eindhoven, December 2-3.
Skating in the Advanced Novice B category, Esmee Dekker finished first and Annika Egas was third. Skating in the same group, Nika Esmaeilzadeh was sixth and Dagna Casias was tenth.
In Basic Novice B, Giulia Dai Pra Ramos was 12th, Laura Britals was 18th and Eline Swildens was 20th.

FSA finished second out of seven clubs competing at the Hanzebokaal challenge competition for Starters, Pupillen and Aspiranten at De Scheg ice rink in Deventer, December 2nd. Four of our skaters made the podium.
In Aspiranten B, Madeline Stumpf and Ashley Cheung finished first and second.
Nélida Lievesley was second in Pupillen 1, while Solenza Subileau was third in Pupillen 2.

Sinterklaas paid an early visit to FSA this Sunday to celebrate World Ice Skating Day. A avid skater himself, Sinterklaas laced up and took to the ice together with his helpers, de Pieten, to hand out goodies for everyone. Dank u, Sinterklaas!
