A strong team of young competitors represented FSA at the first Scorekaart competition of the season this past Saturday, October 28, in Tilburg, Noord-Brabant.

We are excited to celebrate Halloween on Saturday and Sunday, October 28th and 29th. All children who skate on these days are invited to come dressed up for Halloween in their favourite spooky costumes.
Dressing in costume is not a requirement, but if you or your child decide to wear a costume it’s important to make sure that you can still skate safely. This means no long dresses, wide pants, masks, etc.

During fall break last week a great group of enthousiastic kids between 4 and 12 participated in our Fall Break Mini Camp. They learned the basics of figure skating, during four days of fun on and off the ice, under the lead of our caring coaches. Does your child want to learn to figure skate? Jaap Eden was born in Groningen on the 19th October 1873. He was an amazing athlete that broke 2 skating world records in 1874 and won his first world title in 1893.
In 1961 he was honored when Amsterdam opened the biggest indoor-outdoor skating ring, the Jaap Eden Ijsbaan which homes different skating and sport clubs, including Figure Skating Amsterdam.
